Zoos are premises for the captivity of animals, often in urban areas where many of the animals would not otherwise be found, with the intention of studying the animals and displaying them to the public at large. The predecessor of the zoo was the menagerie, which involved the captivity of birds typically for the entertainment of the aristocracy, and has a long history running back to ancient times.

Be it wild or domestic animals they should not be kept in captivity.How will we feel if we are locked in a room for a week? Poor animals are dum i.e they cant talk unlike we humans.Stop being so cruel towards the animal kind

The wildlife animals are protected in zoos compared with if they are in the wild. Their environments are damaged and some creatures are killed for meals, garments, or cash like a rhino is usually killed due to its tusk or a lion might be killed because of its fur. In any case, the zoo ss actually a safe housing for the wildlife.
