GOVERNMENT – THE BIG DADDY[/b]
What is wrong with someone who tells you the truth? Theoretically nothing should be wrong. Practically everything about it is wrong especially if the truth interferes with the Government’s machinery. Truth in today’s world should not cross the limits especially of those that separates thoughts fundamental to the individual freedom from those that represent the Government’s dominion. The Government is omnipotent and it is not a very good idea to mess with the Government. The Government can get you whenever it wants. The Government knows it all, and there's no escape. And to live happy ever after in today’s world, it is necessary for everyone to respect the Government. So what is this "Government" actually? The term represents the whole idea around which modern civilisation stands. Self-regulating, dominant and supposedly gentle national powers that take care of their citizens, provide for them and create an environment of peace and prosperity. The Government governs everyone, thereby levelling off any specific advantage a group may command. Everyone is equal before the law and therefore in the eyes of the Government But well that’s all theory. In today’s world Government is an institution of illegal and unconstitutional conduct. Oh Yes! Government is also unavoidable. Though it is true that the people who make up the Government’s machinery are not everlasting. They come, they go. Some of them stay on for 30 or 40 years, making up the system of government that we all so love to hate. But in due course even they have to retire. No one stays on forever. But even though they come and go, the system keeps crushing the hoi polloi, as the guidelines are documented, positions established and system of beliefs fertilised and kept alive. It never stops. It's the system that overrides all individual identities. A Government’s bureaucratic machinery is cold, calculated, selfish, and always inward-looking. Be afraid … be very afraid of the government whether or not you want to speak the truth.

WHEN CORNERED – EVEN THE MOST TIMID WILL STRIKE BACK[/b][/b]
For centuries Government has tried to carry a heavy facade of looking democratic, open minded and transparent. But history has time and again taught us that limits to all these do exist. As long as unimportant and harmless issues are raised, the Government may act as if to actually get affected and take corrective action on its own working machinery. But the moment someone gets too deep on the working machinery of the Government, the Government prepares to strikes back. And that believe me can be pretty vicious. The police, the military, the administrators, and the judicial system (all being part of the government) can cause harm that may take years to repair. And since the process of revenge-seeking is organized by a body that controls almost everything, hitting back (by an individual) is a very difficult and uncertain process and almost every time leads to failure.

JULIAN ASSANGE – FINGERING THE GOVERNMENT[/b][/b]
Julian Assange did not challenge the Government. He directly attacked and he attacked where it genuinely hurt the most. The secretive communications that represented the inner workings of the American State. Thus, he exposed not only the almighty Americans, but also all those linked with them. His WikiLeaks website, designed as a digital drop box, is a place where anyone can anonymously submit sensitive or secret materials to be circulated and downloaded around the globe. For example, Julian Assange leaked a video shot by an American attack helicopter in July 2007 as it fired on a group of men on a Baghdad street, killing 12, including two unarmed Reuters employees. That is what I call attacking and fingering at the same time. WikiLeaks continued in the same spirit thereafter leaking communications between the American embassies worldwide and their US Head Office. WikiLeaks commitment to what might be called extreme transparency means that it hasn't turned away documents of questionable news value or origin. According to WikiLeaks “credo, to refuse a leak is tantamount to helping the bad guys”[/b]. "We never censor,"[/b] Assange declares.
