What's your say on LIC of India, can it go further and become a competitive bank ?
As per me, competition in the life assurance sector is hotting up & LIC has also taken up a refurbishing exercise, where its old products will be tailored made according to marketing requirement & new trends.
LIC has entered into an agreement with other Banks for marketing their products in deferent regions, and there will be conflict of interest if they get into direct banking space. Currently LIC's stakes in different banks are increasing which gives LIC more control in day-to-day running of the bank. It is already supporting its business growth & using the network of banks.
