Broadband penetration and speed in India is very low compared to other developed and developing countries. What does India really need to boost the broadband usage in India ? Is it the broadband penetration or speed? Share your valuable opinions.
Whenever we talk about technology in India, we tend to forget that a vast majority lives in technical exile, unaware of the basics which we all urban folks now take for granted. We all know that before we think of enhancement of anything, we must be sure that the basic idea is already well received, which is not the case for Broadband.
A lot of people in India don't even know that anything of this sort exists, hence the priority should be awareness through penetration. Broadband penetration will be a driver for high speeds, vice versa doesn't seem to be true. Increased penetration will surely increase the usage which will in turn push the service providers to provide better speeds and quality.
