What are the duties of candidates appointed for the position of Deputy Director?
Even though, the duties of a deputy director differ according to the department for which he/she is appointed, some of the basic duties of this position are given below:
• Important duty is to oversee the operations and development of the department
• To ensure that the goals of the departments are met
• To participate in the meeting of board of directors
• To think and offer new ideas to improve the performance of the department for which they are appointed
• To plant for the future on the basis of the past and present performance of the department
• To work closely with the director of the department in decision making
• To oversee the recruitment of new staff in his/her department
• To maintain effective working relationship with other departments in the organization thereby contributing towards the development of the whole organization
• To perform any other task as assigned by the director of the department or organization for which they are appointed
