UPSC Civil Services Exam Pattern has not been changed. The CSAT examination will be conducted in Civil Services exam, confirmed Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh in a written reply.
CSAT not to be dropped for IAS Exam: Government
The Government of India has decided to not drop the civil services aptitude test, CSAT from UPSC Civil Services Exam Pattern. The aptitude exams would hence be conducted unlike previous years. The Civil Services Exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission, UPSC to recruit officers for Indian Administrative Service, IAS, Indian Foreign Service, IFS, and Indian Police Service, IPS among others.
The exams would be conducted in three stages- Preliminary, Main, and Interview round. As per PTI report, “No sir” was the response given by Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha to a query on the plans to drop the CSAT.
