q . u are given two candles of equal size , which can burn 1 hour each. you have measure 90 min with these candles ( there is no scaler or clock)also u are given a lighter .

try this
 
Light one candle from both the sides.. It will burn completely in 30 minutes.. as it gets completely burnt then light the other candle which will then take 60 minutes to burn completely.. By doing this u have consumed 90 minutes :P
 
find out half of the candle using the method described in the 2nd post, then using the same method find out the quarter by repeating same to the half of the candle :P

Burn a candle first and wait till it burnt half (half candle can be measured with reference to candle which was not lighted). Then light another candle and count 1 hr frm that point of time. Over all u measure 90 mins.

Light the candles with the lighter, let one of the candles burn out full, this will show that 60 minutes have passed and let the other burn only half.. so that will show that 30 minutes have passedd .
Hence totally 90 minutes will be measured.
