08.27 (IST): India win toss, opt to bat vs England. BIG NEWS is that Rohit Sharma misses out due to a hamstring injury. In comes Ambati Rayudu. Stuart Binny replaces Ravichandran Ashwin. For England, James Anderson returns in place of Chris Jordan.
08.49 (IST): Ajinkya Rahane walks out to open the batting with Shikhar Dhawan for India. Will be interesting to see how he goes at a batting spot that is pretty familiar to the Mumbai batsman.
08.55 (IST): James Anderson, returning in place of Chris Jordan, starts with an excellent line and length. Rahane is happy to play it out without a run. India 0/0 (1 over)
09.00 (IST): Shikhar Dhawan is gone! The Indian opener's batting woes continue. Anderson angles one away from the left-hander and Dhawan can't keep his bat away. An outside edge carries to wicketkeeper Jos Buttler. India 1/1 (2.1 overs)
09.30 (IST): SIX! Ajinkya Rahane breaks the shackles! Stuart Broad bowls a short ball and Rahane makes full use of it, hitting over deep mid-wicket fence. India 32/1 (9.3 overs)
09.52 (IST): Rahane is gone! He charges down against Finn but doesn't get hold of his shot. He is caught by James Taylor for 33. India 57/2 (14.3 overs)
10.05 (IST): OUT! Big, big wicket! Steve Finn sends back Virat Kohli for just four. India 64/3 (16.4 overs)

10.09 (IST):Another wicket! Moeen Ali comes into the attack and removes Suresh Raina! Raina came down the track but was beaten by the extra bounce. Buttler completed a simple stumping. India 65/4 (17.2 overs)
10.18 (IST): Steven Finn strikes again! He gets his third scalp. Rayudu is gone, caught behind by Buttler for 23. India 67/5 (19 overs)
11:25 AM IST: Steven Finn again. Just when India looked like they were headed for a competitive total, Finn got back to break the back of their batting. He first removed Dhoni and then bowled a peach to Patel. Two off two. The world champs in disarray at 137/7 in the 37th over
11:42 AM IST:WICKET! Anderson gets his third and that's the end of a fine knock by Binny. He's out for 44.

1:18 PM IST: England are looking as comfortable now as they did before the break. Ian Bell is approaching a fifty while James Taylor in pursuit of 154 vs India.
1:30 PM IST: This has been solid batting by Bell and Taylor. The Indian bowlers have been clueless and moreover they do not have a big total to defend. MS Dhoni is at a complete loss. England 81/1 off 15 overs.

2:06 PM IST: India are staring at certain defeat with England now needing 20 runs to win this one. Ian Bell has played like a true champion after getting a duck against Australia in the first ODI.
2:25 PM IST: England WIN BY NINE WICKETS! This has been a complete annihilation for India. Bell finishes not out on 88 and Taylor remained unbeaten on 56. Binny has been the best player for India in the match - not sure if that is any consolation. The familiar problem against pace persists and there will be plenty of it during the World Cup.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is not pleased with his batsmen after being shot out for 153. "We lose wickets when we accelerate. The batsmen are finding it tough here. We need to rotate the strike when the bowling is good but we haven't done that. It's a long tour, so we need to switch on and off. Time in the hotel is important too."
