Be it a weekend or a weekday, traffic is terrible on roads in India. The number of vehicles on Indian roads is simply alarming and in populous cities like Mumbai, Calcutta and Delhi, there is no space for pedestrians on the roads. In Delhi, it is just not the number of moving vehicles that create traffic on roads; a huge number of stationary vehicles parked along the roads are also responsible for traffic congestion. Since cars and motorbikes are parked on roads, the amount of space for moving vehicles is reduced significantly, resulting in more traffic jams and a delay in commute.

yes traffic is indeed terrific on road.Half of our energy and time is taken away by traffic. The main problem for this traffic is people are more eager to break rules than follow them.If u see in foreign countries people maintain speed and lane both. Here in India people are more proud breaking rules. All this traffic leads to people overtaking one another. Then it results in accidents. The main problem is the roads are in real bad state. Inspite of we paying so much tax still we pay for are lives.

In India, as i already said rules are made to broken not to follow. If we all follow the rules and regulations set up by the system then traffic problem will be handle upto large extent. Traffic police also needs to be strict so that people do not break the rules.
