India is ranked 41 for 2008. It was ranked 23 in 2007.......

What could be the reason for the drastic drop in India's rank???
 
most say goverment 's corruption but its one man inititatives we need a very influential leader like A.P.J Abdul kalam or his 2020 vision hope if he wud have been president till the date there wud be low rate of corruptions now also there are many cases still pending like swiss bank black money case etcetc
 
The reason could be India has started to visualise the fruits of global economy recently. India is a great follower but not a great leader. There is no real innovation coming out of India. Apart from them, corruption is growing at a higher pace, then how can we expect India to be innovative countries among the world??
