Through how many states of India, river Ganga flows?

The Ganges river goes through Five states. Are as follow Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.
 
The Ganges passes through the states of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.

The Ganges passes through the states of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. The Ganges drainage area with its productive land is helpful for the agrarian economies of Bangladesh and India
