Has anyone really figured out who started this hidden fee stuff when you purchase services? The cellphone companies used to be notorious for them. And, well, maybe they still are.
Check this out comcast will charge you (like others have picked up on in the past year) for requesting a service change to your services. $1.99 fee for service change request.
The catch is you are not given that information when you place your request.
And will see it it your next bill. surprise.
My garbage collection company always informs us if we are going to be seeing an extra charge on our bill, whether it be for hazardous material or a hike due to gas prices.
Should companies be required to fully disclose any charges that will be accumulated from any act of using their services? Or is it up to the people who choose to use their service to ask will there be any extra fees or hidden charges?
