The word "sexy" referring to children

This is becoming more and more main stream. I just don't get it. How can the word sexy have anything to do with a child unless you are a pedophile? I saw an ad for the above mentioned show and they said something like come and see the the sexy toddlers strut their stuff.

One has to be able to accept the usage of the word, in modified context, in order to apply the word, correct? Therefore, that makes the term applicable. I believe usage of the word "sexy" is acceptable under specific circumstances, as long as the usage of the word does not imply pedophillia. In accepting that, the term can be applied, under specific circumstances.
