The Return of Command & Conquer

Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that its eagerly awaited game "Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars" (C&C 3) will feature an all star cast, including the likes of Tricia Helfer, Josh Holloway, Michael Ironside, Billy Dee Williams, Grace Park, Ivana Bozilovic, Shauntay Hinton, amongst others.

C&C 3's high definition live action video sequences taken from critically acclaimed television series and blockbuster films such as LOST, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, The Return of the Jedi, Top Gun, Starship Troopers, and The Wedding Crashers will show-off the starry cast.
Going further, C&C 3 will feature real-life news reporters including John Huck and Shanon Cook, doing what they do best - anchoring and reporting - except that in this case, they will do so - only to update the world on the 3rd Tiberium War.

What's more, Joe Kucan, the actor who essayed the lead role of the maniacal leader of the Brotherhood of Nod in the Command & Conquer (C&C) series will pick up where he left off, by donning the mantle of an equally demonic megalomaniac, Kane, in C&C 3.

Kucan's presence in C&C 3, EA says, is sure to be music to the ears of the legions of C&C fans.

And, for those not in the know, C&C is the iconic gaming series that catapulted Real-time Strategy (RTS) into the limelight, and is now returning 'with a bang' with "Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars". The latest chapter takes C&C squarely back to its roots, namely the 'Tiberium Universe' and all its exciting ingredients.

In C&C 3, the year is 2047, and the earth is plagued with Tiberium, a self-replicating alien substance, fast proliferating like a radioactive ice age.

Enter, the Global Defense Initiative, a high-tech alliance of the world's most advanced nations, fighting to contain the hellish Tiberium. But they have none other than the megalomaniac - Kane with his armies to contend with, the latter having some rather twisted plans for Earth and humanity in general.

A game that promises to be out and out WAR, what hangs in balance is the fate of our planet...

In the words of Mike Verdu, executive producer, C&C 3, "Telling a story with a mix of live action and high-end movie-quality computer graphics has been one of the hallmarks of the Command & Conquer (C&C) series. I am delighted that we are bringing the rich game world and epic story for C&C 3 to life with an amazing cast and stunning CG effects and I can t wait for gamers to see the results. These very talented actors have added tremendous depth and dimension to the C&C 3 game experience."

C&C 3 is currently in development at EALA, and will ship in North America and Europe in 2007 for Windows PC.
