The Prophecy of the ‘Game’ – Part II
By: Amit Bhushan Date: 14th Mar. 2018
The Prophecy of the ‘Game’ (http://www.managementparadise.com/article/9742/the-prophecy-of-the-game ) – part 1 had some doubters in the media. These seems to have been silenced. But again the tendency amongst Netas to build air-castles about enigma around their party traditions seems to be reviving. Rather than humble submission to the ‘Verdict of the Game’, there seems to be a euphoric outburst for their successful scheming. What needs to be pointed out that there indeed was also an earlier clarification to the Prophecy part 1. This too was published but seems to be ignored by the reporters busy on celebrating the events and Netas of the day rather than a through analysis (http://www.managementparadise.com/article/9700/the-opposition-politics-top-down-doesn-t-work-is-yet-to-be-realized ). The ‘Game’ would stick to its predictions for now unless some material information emerges further. It’s about continued political revival of the ‘opposition (pl. read that whosoever has strong dominant presence on ground amongst the many opposition parties opposing the party in ‘center’)’ for the states. However the current ruling party is expected to do much better (than earlier) in East as well as in South. It is expected to lose in the North-Western belt as well as Central India though the electoral results for the states of Karnataka as well as Chhattisgarh are difficult to fathom, as of yet. Other predictions like Gangetic plains going to be mixed bag, stands intact. But it (the current ruling party) may still be having rather better chances even in the Coalition, is being predicted as the next government subject to proper allince making .
The Netas trying to revive their brand and family magic as in Bihar would get a taste of their recipe. However those coming to join hands on the ‘mudda’ which is now clearer and raising ‘tough questions’ seem to be on a decisive territory. This is likely to push the Netas at the state level in government to take much more visible action on power theft, land & resource grabbers, cleansing of recruitment as well ‘transfer-posting’ industry within government, tender mafias etc. and put more focus on rural revival and its development since this can be done in a series of micro-projects in quick time. Of course continued effort to get the government ‘shops’ like schools, health care centers and other central & state services in a much more streamlined manner & its visible supervision by Netas of center as well as state including action on errant officials is likely to go up. The Center will of course have to find ways to deal with the scams in banking sector, where action started after it was caught ‘napping’ rather than when it should have started. On its part the ‘Game’ has always highlighted the need as well as urgency to improve transparency for this sector including its potential to derail some of the political apple-carts (http://www.managementparadise.com/article/9551/elections-and-discussions).It may be noted that while the Netas in the government have taken pride of the fact that the housing prices have ‘come down’ or they ‘haven’t increased much’, but there has been a studied silence regards the industrial/commercial land. This even as the mantra to revive ‘manufacturing/ domestic business’ is now sung as an anthem by the Netas on electoral duty and that these prices are artificially jacked up is also known to everyone. Meanwhile the ‘Game’ cult continues to grow. Let the ‘Game’ evolve…..
