Indians today are on their ways to becoming "technical" wizards. Little do they know that by doing this, they are simultaneously confirming the stereotypical view the western world has of Indians-number crunchers.
The fine arts in India seems to have gone into hiding and nobody seems interested in finding it.
What have we done for the world of literature, philosophy, arts and a millions other forms of "ology"s (geology, anthropology, sociology etc)
Why is it that Indians in general, seem to focus on, or respect, only the technical wizards ? Does being a philosophy or anthropology graduate entitle you to less respect ?
Is there no place in Indian society for all things non-technical ? What is it with this sort of, mass ignorance ?
