Introduction : Ever thought about what happens to the millions of children left wanting due to one reason or the other ? Many people come forward to aid them. But most have an ulterior motive or do they? .............

One day in fall,
Between the buildings tall,
In a park where we went to play,
A solitary egg did lay.
Stood around and saw it from the bottom to tip,
"I wonder how'd It look as an omlette? "
Said Fatso as frooti he did sip.
Asked Ram , " Should we take it to a Vet? "
"Try poking it with a pin.
whoever succeeds in bringing it out,
will a crepe ; win."
Said Cyrus with a grin.
"Don't do things so cruel!!
Only the things which if happened to you ,
You'd definitely not mind;
Should you do to others.
Besides it always pays to be Kind.
The other day , I helped a Blind cross,
Rewarded was I , with bear shaped candies ; which in shops you won't find.
After he safely reached his doss."
Reported Abdul as he adjusted his glasses.
"That's just you being a consequentialist,
You'd NOT help him if he had nothing to give?
If poor and terribly desolate he was,
You'd deny him bread to live?"
said Teresa feigning a smile.
"Oh! I'd give him bread.
We have plenty at home.
I won't go hungry to bed ,
even if to him , I gave away some."
Retorted Abdul.
"What if hungry you had to go for lunch?
will you still help him with your share?
As for the impoverished ; you sincerely care!!"
Said she with a flare.
Silent was abdul for the rest.
Must've thought to let her win ; was for the best.
Everytime they talked ,
He felt a thump in his chest.
"Oye!!!!! What about the egg?
I feel bad for it.
Once the pavements are lit,
and off we go to eat,
A cat is sure to spot it ,
For it's kids ; a requim of supper it would fit."
Said Digambar while waving his hand.
The kids started to pass it around.
Asking one another to hide it with them.
When they brought it to the apartment building,
The Watchman interuppted with a hem.
A commotion huge , the moms did cause;
Shouted at the kids , without a pause.
The Husbands stood by talking about cricket,
As if in consensus who the BOSS was.
Just when the sound reached its peak,
There was a crack,
and came out a foundling meek.
Its mother did it seek,
As over the shell shards ;
It did cauiously peek.
An eerie silence fell ; as if the hall had been jinxed by a spell.
The little one afraid ,
Didn't come out , because between friend and foe ; it couldn't tell.
