Re: M.B.A. degree

M.B.A. degree

MBA
The master of business administration (M.B.A.) program offers men and women an opportunity to advance their knowledge and preparation for positions of responsibility in business or not-for-profit institutions. The M.B.A. program is fully accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business.

The M.B.A. degree is recognized as the key to success in both large and small organizations. It is suited to graduates in engineering, science, technology, health care, the liberal arts, and other non-business areas, as well as students with undergraduate degrees in business. The M.B.A. is a general, broad-based degree program that incorporates and integrates study of the organizational, financial, and operational management of organizations; the global economic, technological, and information environment; and the production and marketing of goods and services. Emphasis is given to the strategic view of the organization, teamwork, and effective problem solving.

The Accelerated Masters of Business Administration (AMBA)

Welcome to the AMBA website

The Accelerated Masters of Business Administration (AMBA) program at East Tennessee State University is a comprehensive 12-month curriculum designed for the experienced, time-limited professional who wants an MBA from an accredited, highly ranked business school. Our AMBA is one of only a handful of programs that lets you to earn your degree in less than one year. The combination of on-line and weekend classroom instruction allows for minimal absence from the job. Our AMBA is also cohort-based: classmates function as a support group to help each other through the program.

Re: Accelerated MBA

Accelerated MBA

ETSU's MBA program is regionally and nationally accredited by the

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and the
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) the premier business school accrediting agency.
Less than a third of US business schools and only 20% of business schools worldwide meet the rigorous standards of AACSB.
The Accelerated MBA (AMBA) is a program that allows working professionals to earn an accredited MBA in 12 months. The courses and faculty are the same as a traditional MBA, but classes meet online and in-person in Johnson City, Tennessee. It is designed for those with at least three years of professional managerial experience who desire a rapid-paced, alternative delivery of MBA courses.

Classes meet every third weekend:

Friday night (6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.),
Saturday morning (8:00 a.m. – noon), and
Saturday afternoon (1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
Each of the four weekend sessions will be divided between the three courses. The program is divided into four terms of twelve weeks each. In each of the terms an AMBA student will take three courses. In total, a student will attend four weekends in each term.
