FACULTY
Dr. Patrick Uyttendaele MBA, Ph.D at Free University Brussels-Belgium.
As a professor, Patrick Uyttendaele is teaching Multinational Corporate Investment and
Project Management at the Free University of Brussels and is also lecturer at Brussels
Institute of Contemporary China Studies. He is also teaching Research Methodology at
ITTMA-UA.
Patrick has been with PLI, PwC, PwCC and IBM Business Consulting for 32 years and built up
a substantial and global network of contacts in the port, maritime and logistics industry.
Patrick developed major expertise, scientific and technical skills and information in the ports
and maritime industry related to strategy, market, restructuring, privatization, project
management and corporate finance.
Patrick joined, on January 2007, as a Director, Maritime & Transport Business Solutions and
as such offers his services worldwide as an expert in the field of financial feasibility studies
and project advise with regard to investments in infrastructure and supra-structures,
including financing structures, transactions, logistics aspects and macro-economic analysis.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the master class, the participants should be able to:
Understand the multi-dimensionality of entrepreneurship.
Understand the economic importance of entrepreneurship.
Provide knowledge into the specific aspects of the management of entrepreneurial
organizations.

Familiarize you with the availability of information for entrepreneurial organizations
and the development of a concrete roadmap for the creation and launch of an
organization.
Provide a true picture of business and this on the basis of examples of
entrepreneurial organizations.
Understand the mistakes made by enterprising organizations.
Think from the organization and from the sector and the cluster.
Understand policy instruments that the public and the private sector use to
encourage and support entrepreneurship.
The working language of the course will be English.
COURSE MATERIAL
Before the start of the lecture, a syllabus compiled by the lecturer will be handed over to the
participants.
CERTIFICATION
Participants to the master class will receive a certificate of attendance from the Brussels
Diplomatic Academy of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
TIMING AND LOCATION
Date:
31 October 2014, from 14.00 to 18.00.
Location:
Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Pleinlaan 5, Karel Van Miert Building.
It is building number 5 on the campus plan that can be downloaded at

Free parking facilities are available on the campus in front of the building. A bar code gives

A few days before the start of the event, participants will receive a bar code giving access to
the parking.
METHOD OF PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION
Fees:
The master class fee is 375 EUR.
VAT Settlement: exempted from VAT: Art 44 § 2, 4° of the VAT code.

The above prices include the registration fee and all material relating to the course on
“Entrepreneurship”, as well as the coffee breaks and networking reception for the duration
of the event.
The accommodation form is not included in the registration fees.
Flemish companies can make use of the “KMO-portefeuille”: www.beaweb.be (Admission

Payment:
Attendees are requested to pay by bank transfer only, upon receipt of invoice.
Confirmation of registration and practical information will be sent only after receipt of
payment.
Cancellations:
Cancellations can only be accepted if received in writing to [email protected] by 17 October
2014. Fees (less 25 euro administrative charges) will then be refunded. After this date,
delegates will be liable for the full fee.
In case of cancellation, a substitution between members of the same company is still
possible at any time.
