Tell-tale Heart (Poem)

The flames of Erebus wouldn’t do you any harm,

as tamed would be Aeacus ; by your charm……

But by perchance , if you convince Charon to let you go….

come and do ask , why I became your foe.

Till then, before dusk ; Wilt….

like a beleaguered sunflower ; or abandoned roe….

One missed the Gardner’s eye,

the other’s fate , of the deepest Dye.

On the streets, have you learnt nothing??

Even a dog doth sniff before it bite,

Although it barks out of spite,

Bogs down when it hears the Dog Catcher’s siren sing.
