Teleperformance India's Sanjay Mehta is BPO Industry Champion
Contact Center World recognition from peers for 11 global BPO champions
New Delhi Jaipur Indore July 10, 2015: ContactCenterWorld, the global association for Contact Center and Customer Engagement Best Practices, has announced the winners of the prestigious 2015 Industry Champion Award for 11 countries including Australia, Brazil, India and Singapore. The award is based on selection by industry peers. However, colleagues from the same company and friends are not allowed to vote for anyone from their own company.
Mr Sanjay Mehta, Managing Director, Teleperformance India, is the BPO Industry Champion from India 2015 based on the above web-based peer selection process by Contact Center World.
Mr Mehta has headed India operations of the US$ 3.7 billion Teleperformance Inc., the global leader in Outsourced Multichannel Customer Experience offering Complete BPM Solutions covering Customer Care, Debt Collection Technical Support, Analytics and Social Media.
He pioneered the move of setting up BPO operations beyond the traditional IT hubs of metro cities to smaller non-metro towns, starting with Indore in 2007 and Jaipur in 2009. Mr Mehta advocates move of BPO industry close to where the talent is: thus helping create jobs in non metro cities.

Hailed as a thought leader in the BPO industry through his views, Mr Mehta is Chairperson of the BPO committee of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (NIC). As an active member of NASSCOM, Mr Mehta has been advocating a separate policy for BPO industry.
