Teenagers are busy on internet surfing through bollywood gossips, reading unwanted articles, chatting and so on...They have even replaced television with being on the computer.

How far do you think teenagers are spending too much time on internet??

Interesting topic:
In my opinion, while being online is much better than watching television; there has to be a limit. There is huge chunk of knowledge in the virtual world, the question is how is this knowledge used.
You can find information about both 'making bombs' and 'making peace' online... the teenager who learns about bombs would bother me more than the one who's learning to make peace...

"One more minute," a typical Internet user often says to a spouse or parent who yearns for their attention during a long on-line session. But before they know how or why it happened, that minute invariably turns into one or more hours - at the cost of the people and activities that more and more often are ignored.

It all depends on what sites and purpose the teenagers use internet for.
Internet has abundant of information on any damn topic.
If teenagers are spending long hours on net for knowledge gaining and sharing then I see no harm.

According to a recent study, spending hours on internet by teenagers can lead them to depression. I think teenagers are spending too much time.

what do they really gain out of it; nothing, except for spending their time uselessly- they get in love with their pictures and profiles and make them their role models, acting just the way they are. Most of the time, they fall in love with them so that day and night, they surf through the videos of their favourite celebs, paying no important time on studies.

preety good topic......really lyked it.......
teenegers r spending lots of time widout ny reasons...........for playing games which cn harm dem internally.............

Lets not see only negative aspect of the internet. The kids are also exploring useful information from the internet which are useful for their study.

teens do eihtr f d following...eat...sleep...watch tv....surf....talk on fne...n study....nw d amt f tym ppl spent on tv hs gne dwn a lot....bt this tym is used to surf d net...dis is d only diffrnce...early ppl use to watch tv,...nw dey surf....

i woundnt say so ...so many teenagers hav a hard time tryin to finish their assignments tat they hav to spend time in the internet ...

in my opinion it is much better to be on internet than watching the tv but the time should be limited n rather than searching irrelevent material search should b focussed on educational purpose

its good enough if we look at +ve side instead of -ve. in my view being online is far better than sitting in front of the idiot box for hours long wasting their time and moreover abusing their minds with all that saas- bahu shit.

i don't find it wrong if the surfing is being done for the good stuff rest all depends on the person how optimistically the thing is being used.

but at the same time over dose of anything can create problem so it is good enough if the time is being restricted.

s..Most of the time while login for doing assignments and finally they will be using social n/ws..They somewhat got addicted to using such networks..
