Ever wonder why we denote them with a separate names !!!

What's the difference between the two and who has/had more influence in shaping your life and career ???

I feel the basic difference lies in their attitude towards teaching . A professor teaches as his profession or job and does not put his soul into it . A teacher teaches out of personal interest and the love for teaching . Although many people receive the title of a teacher only a few deserve that respect
 
teachers can go on to spoon-feed the study material.... A Prof would just tell you what he thinks of a matter and leave it to u to.... either get more out of him or rebut the opinion....
 
Teachers are the busy people than professors. Teachers had to work max 30 periods in a week but professor geeks works only 5-6 hours a week.
They draw lots of amount while teachers draw a little amount as salary:SugarwareZ-291:

I like them equally, because having both of them has it's own pros and cons.

Common Understanding:
Teacher: Will give more attention to detail. Will make sure you understand every single thing. Will ensure you excel is whatever you do.
This doesn't apply to all the teachers, there are a few teachers who would not pay that much attention

Professor: Will come at their own leisure time. Don't honestly care about individual pupil. Lives a much more easier life then that of teachers.
And this certainly doesn't apply to all the professors

In a nutshell, some teachers are like professors and vice versa. But as Tanns Shah says it correctly "who gives the knowledge, counts... "
