Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has posted a 23 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 1251.6 crore (Rs 12.51 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 (Q2FY08) when compared with Rs 1018.7 crore (Rs 10.18 billion) for Q2FY07.
According to an official release issued by the company to the BSE on Monday, the total income is Rs 5761.8 crore (Rs 57.61 billion) for Q2FY08 when compared with Rs 4511.3 crore for Q2FY07.
On a stand-alone basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 1147.11 crore (Rs 11.47 billion) for Q2FY08 when compared with at Rs 931.32 crore (Rs 9.31 billion) for Q2FY07. Total income is Rs 4681.5 crore (Rs 46.81 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 when compared with Rs 3681.20 crore (Rs 36.81 billion) for Q2FY07.
