How do you see Nano from India's development perspective?

I personally feel its a symbolic for India's growth and Innovation. The next big thing should be invention and I hope whoever comes to power needs to seed this into our education system.

This is a right time to change education system and make it more enjoyable, practical, challenging.

as in the present condition of recession the nano will be prove milestone to the economy as nano will provide the huge funds to the tata group it will also help in investing this fund in other tata companies which will definitely help in boosting the economy.

Tata Nano will surely rock in Indian markets.
I agreee we have bigger issues than the owning a personal car.
But... Indian dreams know no boundries...
and....Indians strive hard to bring them in reality..

Nano is the symbol of Indian technological prowess - our Engineers have shown that one does not need only the most expansive technologies - it's rather the indigenous solutions developed in house, which are the most economical ones.

For the common men too, this would be a dream come true - an affordable car for family - not to mention the business. Metro-denizens may cringe about the lack of moving space it may create, along with the environmentalists, but this car would be a boon to rural-dwellers - a life-style product - will prompt people to ask for all weather drivable roads as a basic necessity (and not a luxury) - will enable them to travel (comparatively) far - for education, business - or even to enjoy. Thus each Nano sold would be an instrument to push looming recession away from country - not just through the consumerism it will bring in lives of common men, but also from the inspiration (to the Tata group itself, to its competitors - to the whole manufacturing sector, in fact!) to think fresh - to innovate.
 
Nano is just the beginning. It can be said to be a crude form of whts gonna be the next invention. There will be a lot of improvements in future design wise and also money wise.
 
I think it is an over hyped car ..... as many people in india are not aware of the below 800 segment .......... as far as the 1 lakh mark is concerned .........its basic model is at 120g+.
N for the rest the best part abt the ano is the marktng strategy used ........ hats off ........ hyped then reaped before harvest ........... thats brainz maan .........
 
Due to this, car becomes an affordable commodity to a lot more people in India than it were before. It would have a lot of impact to the already congested traffic situation in most of the cities.

The credit crunch in US has affected India. Reason could possibly be the involvement of India in IT industry. A change in one market of a country would spread to the other markets of that country.

According to the Economic Times, “Tata Nano’s launch could expand the Indian car market by 65%, according to rating agency CRISIL.”

The car is expected to fuel the growth of other industries, too, not just the car market.

If economic expansion is what India needs, the Nano came at just the right time.

the project is xcellent.....no stoping to the indian development and innovation everythin is goin nano(micro)

bt...wat bout the infrastructure????
wid dis 1 project(tata nano) 6-7 newer companies r planning to launch cars with same price range
nano is really a big hit as well as a hit to the indian economy
 
yesTATA NANO is a milestone for India though a common man dream is to own a personel car but does NANO fulfill all requirements of being valued car? its features? eg.mileage and safety
so NANO is a dream but diffcult to be a reality....so wait and watch

It is a starting of new erra now other auto player will come and they will start offring with new feature as well as low cost and then Tata has to think about the feature of this car no dought it is an invention from great Tata Ultimatly indian people are in comfort now lower middle class people can think about ride of their own car.good initiative taken by tata.challange time for tata as they have to face problem form supply side now demand is more in market and supply is short need more plant level investment in the same segment
 
It is a revolution in indian Auto Industry,
it is very good for inidan middle class people in past they can deam about their own car now they can hold in their Budget
it is an sweet budget car specially for lower middle class
now lot of ohter auto industry compititor will come with more feature and Great tata has to come with some more innovative feature in the segment
very good initiative taken by Tata.
as well as future it tough for Tata they need more R & D in this segment
and as my friend mention it will increase traffic Problem
Indian goverment has to think about infrastrature specially roads
