New Delhi: Automobile giant, Tata Motors in a move to consolidate the prevailing economic scenario has started a three-day block closure in Tata Motors Jamshedpur plant.
According to General Secretary of Telco Workers Union (TWU) Chandrabhan Singh said the economic slowdown and slump in demand of heavy commercial vehicle was the reason behind the company’s decision.
The closure, which will be observed from August 29-31, was aimed to prevent unnecessary build up of inventory in the company as well as at dealers end.
