Motor flameout alludes to blazes being quenched in the burning council of the motor, so it close down and no more drives the propeller. Reasons for a flameout could incorporate an absence of fuel or being struck by volcanic cinder, a bird or some other item. "Mayday" is an international emergency call.

At least 31 people on board were killed, and 15 people were injured, including a toddler and his father. The search continued for 12 people still missing.
