The recently concluded summer placement process at Faculty of Management Studies,
Delhi reinstated FMS’ stature as one of the premier B-Schools in the country. Despite the
uncertain economic environment in the lead up to the process, 170 companies across
sectors confirmed participation at FMS to choose from amongst the best minds in the
country. The final tally of companies hiring from FMS stood at an impressive 90 for the 210
students participating in the process.

The current year saw 36 new companies (40% of the total number of companies making
final offers) and numerous new profiles opened by legacy recruiters standing testimony to
the quality of talent FMS attracts.

Consulting/Strategy/General Management Close to one-fourth of the batch opted for Consulting/General Management/Strategy roles across various trusted brands in the industry. TATA Administrative Services (TAS) continued its legacy relationship with FMS by making 6 offers. Legacy recruiters like Mahindra and Mahindra (Group Management Cadre Programme) and Godrej (Strategy) made their presence felt. Other notable mentions in the General Management domain included Reliance Industries Limited and Singhania Group, both of whom visited the institute for the first time and hired in good numbers. Consulting saw Deloitte, Capgemini Management Consulting, ICRA Management Consulting, KPMG, Nodwin Consulting, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Redseer Consulting amongst many others making offers to FMS students. Finance Despite the unfavourable conditions in the banking and financial sector, FMS managed to successfully place close to a third of the batch in finance profiles across various roles. Front end investment banking, Private Equity, Treasury, and Financial Markets roles were the preferred destinations amongst the students. Morgan Stanley hired from FMS for the first time for its Front End Investment Banking profile. Legacy recruiters like Standard Chartered and Deutsche Bank opened their lucrative Financial Markets profile at FMS, thus testifying the quality that was on offer. Langham Capital also recruited for its front end I-banking role. Avigo Capital and Helion Ventures hired students for roles in Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC). American Express, Bank of America, Citibank, HDFC, HSBC, ICICI Prudential AMC hired interns for a variety of roles across treasury, corporate banking, risk and operations. Dun & Bradstreet, ICRA, TVS

Capital Funds, Zee, CRISIL also opened roles across profiles for FMS students. Corporate finance was offered, amongst many, by Airtel, Akzo Nobel, Coca Cola, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Hindustan Unilever, Lanco Infratech Ltd., and TATA Motors. DMI Finance, Bank of Baroda Four-S Services and Development Credit Bank also hired from FMS. Sales & Marketing The Marketing Campus of the Country remained a preferred choice for the who’s who in Marketing. Close to 40% of the batch showed their preference in interning in Sales and Marketing profiles. Adobe, Airtel, Akzo Nobel, Asian Paints, Boston Scientific, Britannia, Coca Cola, Dabur, Genzyme, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Heinz, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages, Hindustan Unilever, HT Media, Idea, ITC, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Cadbury, L’Oreal, Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, Nestle, Perfetti, Philips, Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Sab Miller, Times OOH, Titan and many more participated in the process and hired interns. Nokia, Sony Entertainment Television, Boston Scientific and Zee hired from FMS for the first time. IT/Operations/HR On the operations front, participation was highlighted by the presence of Asian Paints, Bristlecone, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages and Valcon Consulting, all of whom hired interns for the first time from FMS Delhi. Flipkart and American Express also hired students for their operations profile. There were lucrative options on the HR front for the students from various companies which included Michael Page, BASF, Vedanta, GAIL and UTI. IT was marked with the presence of many companies including the likes of TCS, Wipro and Capgemini who also opened their Management Consulting profile. As a policy measure, FMS Delhi did not disclose their average stipend for this year’s summer internship placements. “We are happy with the offers our students have got.
