Operational Franchise Manager Scotch & Soda is one of the most successful Dutch designer labels that are operating successfully worldwide. Led by the current owners, the young Amsterdam brand has gown within ten years into a thriving business. Scotch & Soda now has 7,000 selling outlets in 26 countries, 30 Scotch & Soda stores, including 11 in the Netherlands and an entire online presence including web shop. Besides the familiar Scotch & Soda Men's line, there is also the very popular Shrunk boys’ line, the women's collection Maison Scotch, the Scotch R'Belle line for girls and a brand new denim line called Amsterdam Blauw. Scotch is opening stores worldwide and all these stores are required to radiate the Scotch DNA. In order to make sure that all the store openings, renovations and their daily management run as efficiently as possible, Scotch and Soda is looking for an Operational Franchise Manager. As an Operational Franchising Manager you will be coordinating store-openings-projects from the moment the key of the building is handed over till the effective opening of the store. Furthermore you will be responsible for the purchase of all hardware and other services needed for the renovations of the store locations. You will deal with the worldwide operational management of the Scotch franchise stores. You will be responsible for the presentation of the shops, the staff, etc., and in addition, you will deal with the optimization the goods flow/trade. The candidate we are looking for has extensive experience in an international retail organization. In addition, the candidate should have the capacity to be active within a broader framework. This is an international full-time position with place of employment in Hoofddorp. What will you be doing: Creating a project plan and schedule for each store; Drawing up and monitoring the financial; You will be responsible for the proper alignment and coordination of the work which is needed for a store opening; Managing the merchandiser and shop assistant; Being a contact person for franchisees; Monitoring operational stores by using KPI’s (conversions, APC, AAPC, Buy / Visit Ratio, sales targets, sales, stock); Monitoring and ensuring the level of fashion stylists and hosts of the international department; Trouble shooter (underperforming stores), depending on the cause (location, staff, and product presentation, branding, etc.), setting up action plans for stores; Preserving the Store Concept (look and feel);
Coordinating role in the purchasing process; First contact person for stores; Store visits / store visit reports / actions; Responsible for the retail culture, Scotch’s DNA and training; What will be expected from you: A degree on at least Higher Vocational Studies (HBO) level; Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of the Spanish language, spoken and written, is an additional advantage; At least 5 years experience as a retail/franchise manager in the fashion industry (international); Decisiveness, enthusiasm and ambition; Attention to detail and quality; The ability to rapidly switch; The ability to maintain overview during complex situations; Good numerical and analytical skills; Excellent communication skills; Extremely flexible attitude and willingness to travel extensively.
