Strategy thesis subject

Hi everyone :)

I hope that I am writing in the right section.
I am looking for good ideas for my subject of thesis. I would like to write it in the strategy field but I don't have a lot of background my course started one week ago and I have to find a subject for next month.
Could anyone recommend me a field to study please ?
Something interesting that is hot right now and that could be easy to study (I don't have a lot of contacts in the top management of enterprise who could provide me information)
That would be really kind !

Strategy is a very generic word and encompasses thousands of topics.

Can you narrow it down a bit and tell us some specifics where you require our views?

I don't really know what's hot in strategy.
I think that studying how the five forces of porter shapes the strategy of a firm could be interesting; I just need a good contact in a company to have some data... but... It seems a bit poor to me... I think I could/should do something more elaborated,... or maybe my idea isn't that great because I don't have enough background to know what's interesting about firm's strategies... I hope you understand what I mean... that's why I am looking for advices...
