SSWL trades jubilantly on achieving growth of 9% in September, 2013

Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) is currently trading at Rs. 144.25, up by 16.95 points or 13.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 127.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 129.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 152.50 and Rs. 125.85 respectively. So far 21162 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 235.00 on 03-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 111.50 on 30-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 152.50 and Rs. 123.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 219.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.21% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.56% and 43.23% respectively.

Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) has recorded its highest ever monthly sale in September 2013. Total wheels sales crossed 10 lakh in September 2013 and stood at 10.05 lakh compared to 9.25 lakh in September 2012, growth of 9% YoY. Incidentally the previous best monthly performance was in august 2013 when it had a record 9.71 lakh wheels sale.

Passenger Car/MUV wheels sale grew 8% MoM to 418280 in September 2013 Vs 388086 in August 2013. There was a 14% decline YoY due to base effect of car segment sale which will improve going forward with new business starts and ramp of existing businesses. SSWL enjoys 100% supply to Honda amaze, Hyundai i10 Grande, Renault Duster. Few new passenger car businesses will start by December 2013 where SSWL enjoys 100% supply which will further boost volumes.

The tractor segment grew strongly with a growth of 43% and the trend is expected to continue and improve the profitability going ahead. On the back of a very good monsoon this segment will continue to drive numbers in second half of FY 2013-14. Two & Three wheeler segment grew by 58% in line with guidance and the robust pace will continue with few more new business starts and ramp up of existing models. Exports grew by 107% in September 2013 with total numbers at 149280 Vs 72076 in September 2012. With the September sale, the second quarter (Jul-Sept 2013) sale stood at 28.54 lakh vs. 25.27 lakh for the same period last year.
