With this detailed explanation around special 9 series entrepreneurship and new venture creation.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND NEW VENTURE CREATION
Workshop Description: This high-energy, interactive fast-paced workshop
will examine the entrepreneur and the entrepreneurial process in start-up,
high growth and large organizations. It will help you understand how to
think in an entrepreneurial way, how to apply rational man behavior, and
how to analyze hard facts in all aspects of starting and growing a company.
This is not a “war story” workshop. You will leave with practical tools that
you can apply in a variety of situations. Be prepared to actively participate
and engage with your classmates and instructors. Curriculum includes a
well-known entrepreneurship textbook, Harvard Business School case
studies, guest speakers and team projects. Workshop requirements include
case study analysis, two written papers and one team assignment focused on
presenting a business plan.
You will not be bored. Simply imagine spending your evening with
Larry David channeling Woody Allen and Tina Fey.
Instructors: Serial entrepreneurs Neil Senturia and Barbara
Bry
Neil Senturia has started and/or led five technology companies
including Atcom/Info which pioneered high speed Internet access
in hotel rooms and was sold for $80 million. He has taught
entrepreneurship in the MBA program at San Diego State

As a scientist, my career path has always
seemed predetermined: graduate school, post-
doc, industry or academia. The
"Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation
Workshop" made a daunting alternative seem
within reach-- planning, funding and launching
my own startup.
-Christine Shulse, PhD candidate,
UCSD Division of Biological
Sciences
Barbara and Neil team up to offer
entrepreneurs the best of the top business
universities and the school of hard knocks. The
combination of academics and hands on
experience is as good as it gets.
-Chuck Maurer, Attorney and
Entrepreneur
Forget all the textbook fairytales, this is a
crash course in business in the real world. The
class focuses on the realities of deal making
plus invaluable advice every start-up or
