slang language has been taken over by the youth...have they forgotten english?

Slang is sometimes creating problems for many people to
understand the complete meaning of the speaker. On the other
hand slang is helping people to communicate with others easily. A
new slang word is being used on the eve of next day. Teachers are
complaining about the use of slang words likeu instead of you,
bcoz instead of because, ur instead of your etc. in the papers, and this thing is deducting the marks of the students. Children are
using slang words as coded message as it is not very
understandable to the parents.

Pupils are not allowed to use the phrase "innit" or other examples of "playground patois" when talking to teachers. Formal language must be used at all times in communications with adults and pupils have been told that street slang should be "left at the school gates".

The measure, along with a strict uniform policy, is part of a tough stance on discipline at Manchester Academy, in the city's deprived Moss Side area, has restored order.
