Single Superpower:good or bad

The existence of a single democratic superpower promotes the spread of democracy and stability. If there is to be only one superpower, let it be democratic since democracy is the most desirable system of government. In the twenty-first century it has to be realised that states which abuse human rights and threaten their neighbours (e.g. by sponsoring terrorism or building weapons of mass destruction) cannot be allowed to get away with things. The values of the USA give it the legitimacy to confront rogue states and if necessary intervene to uphold peace and stability. It has done this in recent years in the former Yugoslavia, Iraq and Afghanistan, and the knowledge that America will act toughly has also led Libya and North Korea to change direction in ways which make the world safer for everyone.
 
China will never be anything more than a regional superpower, so in other words just another "world leader" for the simple fact that they haven't got a navy worth mentioning.

The navy is the most underrated asset of any superpower in the world. In today's day and age of jets having large carrier forces is one advantage any world power needs. As the saying goes for Nimitz-class carriers "It's 4.5 acres of sovereign and mobile American territory, put anywhere you want it."

Regardless of what you believe you can't deny that having a top 3 navy is one of the only ways to maintain your status as a world power or "superpower". Think of how the Royal Navy made a small island nation smaller than many states in America the greatest Empire the world ever saw.
 
SIngle superpower could never be. In todays world there is No moderation. People don't want moderation, because everybody wants to take sides. You can't take sides unles there is at least two superpowers. Everybody cries that we should all get along, but they all want YOU to get along with them, NOT them get along with you.
 
single super power leads to a world full of fear and terror.No one knows how that power will react to a country or group of people who disagree with it.God created this world so that we live happily together in peace and harmony and not to be dominated by a single power.Proponents may say that we need some one to control anarchy and resolve our disputes.On the other hand side, disputes between two countries can be solved by thair common people who want to live in peace.We have UN to resolve our disputes and a single super power undermines its relevance in today's world.US has failed to transfer its own ideals of liberty,fraternity and democracy in international arena.World can co exist only when power is divided because as it is said "..absolute power corrupts absolutely".
