DOCTORS are being warned not to respond to patients who approach them with requests to be their friends on social networking websites..

The British Medical Association has issued new guidelines to staff who use sites such as Facebook and Twitter, urging them to avoid coming into contact with people they have treated and to keep their distance online.

should each and every doctor in this world follow the same rule

if you feel YES then give reasons .......
 
What I was not clear with is, Why on Earth cant doctors be in contact with their old patients? Aren't they also human beings like others? This is just like, If You are into a business, you can't be in contact with your old clients on social media! I don't think it is ethical!
 
Its wrong i think.....Doctors also have their personal life,why social networking be banned for doctors.What's wrong in patients connecting with doctors through social networking???
