Should PORN be banned or legalised ???

I was going through an article so thot of sharing it for discussion:

"Our honorable chief justice K.G Balakrishnan wants to ban PORN websites.

Who knows, achieving that will lead to absolute safety of life and property. No crime will take place. Every child will get a roof overhead and will go to school instead of sweating out to earn a square meal.

In addition, Ruchikas will not be sexually harassed anywhere and 9-year-old female tourists will be safe, at least in Goa. No policeman will refuse to accept FIRs and all the judges will get a Surf Excel-wash.

The laws and the legal system of this land confuse people to no end. Ruchikas, Jessicas (and many others) wait infinitely for justice. But, the hon’ble CJI wants an ‘urgent’ ban on porn sites. Has any porn site ever taken anyone’s life, or driven someone to commit suicide?"

Well i think it is a controversial topic which require a deep study and analysis, as india is a country where our culture is given more preferance even in modern world we follow our traditions and i think legalizing porn or banning it is not that much simple. so for the time being we must leave it as it is going.
 
since even if it is banned we cant get rid of it. Legalizing is againt our culture. I guess we can have it legally but ban it socially. Tax it heavily and make it so that it is difficult to trade.
 
We humans living in a social jungle from long time think that we are above all creations & consider ourselves as something superior. But what we have forgotten is that we too are a living creation of god and are merely animals with little more brain than other animals around us.
And just as any other animal go through heat periods or seasonal increase in hormone levels which results in mating, we human too get the urge to do the same (irony/sarcasm being that humans get that urge or itch daily which has resulted in gigantic population increase) which is a natural phenomenon.
But due to so called human-society-man made LAWS, we have restrictions & legal age limits to do the same. So the importance of PORN here comes to curb or pacify the urges or feelings we get sometimes by virtually or imaginatively engaging in that act.

So what I think that if that source of self-private satisfaction is also banned it would only result in more sexual crimes because people will then have no way of gratifying their heat or urges which they get sometimes, which otherwise is served through porn.
 
It should be made legal for the people above age 18 years because craze increases for those things which are not available easily and leads to weird scenarios.
 
Making something legal seems to "normalize" it.

It would have a dreadful effect, I think, on the minds of people to suddenly have pornography be considered legal/normal.

It's like calling "nasty" to be "good."

Once you begin to lose all moral foundations, then society crumbles....maybe it's a slow crumble, but still it falls.

Think of the effect, for example, on people's minds (and hearts) if child prostitution were suddenly legalized/normalized.

Without moral restrictions, community drops into depravity.So i think it should be banned at an extent.
