Shoppers Stop, India’s premier fashion and lifestyle destination pioneered modern retail in India in the year 1991. The first store of Shoppers Stop opened in Andheri and changed the way India shops. This celebrated store of Modern Retail went through a complete makeover and is back in its new avatar! The revamped and glittering store was brought alive with a cake cutting ceremony by Top Models Candice Pinto, Aanchal Kumar, Pia Trivedi, Binal Trivedi, Sahil Shroff & Asif Azim.



The newly renovated façade is a clear depiction of Shoppers Stop’s Bridge-to-luxury positioning. From the store façade, to the interiors, and layout of the store have been upgraded too. The upgrade includes an additional 10,000 square feet, taking the sum total of retail space to 66,000 square feet. The ample space ensures an easily-navigable and luxuriant shopping environment. Each of the four levels offers ample choices in fashion & brands and is a shopping experience unto itself.

Keeping with Shoppers Stop’s Bridge to luxury positioning, the new store at Andheri houses an array of top notch brands like M.A.C., Playboy, Esprit, United Colors of Benetton, GAS, MUSTANG - Europe's renowned jeanswear, Austin Reed - a premium brand of corporate wear from UK, Mothercare, ELC and many more. There is also a wide range of merchandise under Shoppers Stop exclusive brands namely Stop, Kashish, Life, Haute Curry, Elliza Donatein, Insense, i Jeanswear, Mario Zegnoti, Vettorio Fratini amongst others.

The revamped store is equipped with the most up-to-date facilities in lighting, temperature control, and safety measures such as fire –fighting equipment. For customer ease, the store now has doubled the number of cash counters and elevators.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Govind Shrikhande – Customer Care Associate & President & Chief Executive Officer, Shopper’s Stop Ltd. said, “We changed the way India shopped with the launch of our first Shoppers Stop store at Andheri in 1991. This step marked the start of our retail legacy in India and also it kick-started the evolution of modern retail. After nearly 20 years of successfully delighting our customers, we are proud to present the new avatar of our maiden store. The store has been designed to meet the international standards that our discerning customers have come to expect from Shoppers Stop. We have also incorporated customer feedback to make our store the ultimate shopping destination for the entire family.

He further added, “Our First Citizens have bestowed their continued patronage to us over the last two decades. The revamped store will not only bring back fond memories of shopping but will add a whole new dimension to the idea of retail therapy.”

At the ground level entry customers will be pampered to an array of crème de la crème brands in cosmetics, perfumes, jewellery, personal accessories, ladies footwear, and bags. The first level offers categories such as men’s formals, casuals and men’s ethnic wear. This floor also offers premium international brands that were not available in the store prior to the makeover.

As customers go up to the second floor, they will be delighted to find an entire level dedicated to tiny tots and their mommies! The kids section- the largest amongst all the thirty stores in India- includes kids’ apparel and toys, Mothercare, Early Learning Centre & Hobby ideas.

Located at entry point of the second floor is Mothercare - world-renowned brand for maternity, baby and childcare products. Known for its uniformly high standard of quality worldwide, Mothercare stocks a variety of products for mothers-to-be, new borns, toddlers and children till eight years of age, the focus being on function, comfort and safety, without compromising on style.

In addition, Early Learning Centre (ELC) is brought to the Andheri customers for the first time! UK’s number one educational toy brand, ELC provides a host of educational stimulating toys for children between 0-6 years of age.

And the firsts don’t just end there! The kiddies will also be delighted to find ‘Hobby Ideas’ at the store. Tiny customers can engage in a wide range of craft & hobby products, books and games.

Further up the levels, the Ladies will be transported to retail heaven on the third floor which stocks the finest brands in Women’s apparel, accessories & Home Décor.



Much emphasis is given to customer convenience with customer friendly signage, alteration desk, customer service desk with gift wrapping service, exclusive First Citizen Members’ lounge , baby changing room, Physically challenged trial rooms, to name a few.

All in all, Shoppers Stop Andheri is Back with a Bang! The dazzling store is breathtaking in all its grandeur and houses the trendiest and most fashionable labels in town.
