If you pick any leading newspaper these days,I would say you have a bright chance of reading about student being killed by his classmate due to some rivalry inside the school.I'm completely clueless what is causing such increase in the violent activities in schools.They are being shot dead by their classmates.At the age where there is remote possibility of seeing a gun they are using it and that too without any fear.Do we need such a scenario in schools?Can we debate about the reasons for increase in the violence inside schools.
I would attribute a part of it to the increase in violence shown in movies in India.Young boys are getting influenced by the violence shown in movies where the hero mercilessly shoots at the villains.There has been increase in the violence shown in movies now-a-days.But more shocking news is that he possession of arms in the hands of school children.A child could get a gun only from his/her home easily.It has been the fault on the parent's part to keep the gun out of the reach of the child.Govt need to make stringent rules to get an arms licence tough.
