Jagriti aims to create a change in the society through its philanthropic efforts and has taken various initiatives in the past for achieving it.
- Ecolosseum – An event in association with Government of Gujarat on how eco-friendly mediums can be used to spread the message of a Social Cause. The event gathered a good response from students in MICA and total prize money of Rs. 1 Lac was given to students.
- Blood Donation Camp – The camp was conducted on campus in association with Red Cross Society of India for kids who are suffering from Thalassemia. A good turnout of students and faculty members was registered during this event.
- Medical Camp – The camp was organized in Shela village in association with Shalby Hospitals and was aimed at helping residents in terms of medical amenities. This check up camp was also complemented by a medicine distributing drive.
- Donation Drive for Blind People’s Association – A Cloth donation drive was conducted where a good amount of participation was witnessed from student’s community and faculty members. The collection from this event was given to the Blind People’s Association of Ahmedabad.
- Laadli Media Awards - This event was conducted in association with Times of India and Population First initiative for journalists who have worked on issues of gender sensitivity or have effectively used the media to cover this issue.
