hi

iam anil doing MBA from kurukshetra university.i want to choose HR as specialization in major and marketing minor.

can anybody suggest about the scope of HR with respect to other specialization like marketing, finance, oprations etc

there is lot of scope in HR provided u r not stuck in Recruitment lot of roles to play ...finance n marketing had lot of demand anytime...but if u work in Hr dept. in for IT firm or any software company then Hr has a Lot of scope...MAny go for HR as majors and systems as minor..
 
Priya is rite.....HR in a gud frim, nt HR consultancy firm, has a wider scope. There is a lot 2 do like work as employee relations officer n take part in policy making n making da place better......Bt thtz only if u r in HR dept in a company......

Bt definately Marketing n Finance r more growing.....bacially HR dept also is nt 2 big, n growth of ur carrer becomes resticted.....while in marketing, trust me da industry is 2 wide......Bt definately ur skills do matter.....if ur gud at marketing, u hvnt decided anything, I must say go 4 marketing, much wider scope 2 grow.....
dis m sayin with my exprience, I ws working as HR execuitve in an IT firm, so i do hv a lil knowledge!!!;)
 
well thats rite .. With so many BPo's coming up u can be a trainer, teamleader, team lead , etc... the Hr scenario is changing..So u can expect a Lot in Hr dept..

few yrs back it was known as Personnel Dept..it had few and not so crucial roles to paly .. but now HR is upcoming Specilaization!
