Rating: 2.5/5
In the event that you are informed that the spouse in this film calls herself 'Looteri Dulhan', would despite everything you need to waste three hours of your weekend viewing it? Maybe you won't.
Debutant chief Abhishek Dogra's Dolly Ki Doli, where Sonam Kapoor plays a spouse who tricks men into marriage just to deny them of their money and resources, hits theaters this Friday. Is the film worth the time and cash?
In the event that there is anything that makes Dolly Ki Doli worth a watch, it is the exhibitions. Rajkummar Rao, the first "target" we see in the film, plays the ideal Haryanavi fellow - he is glad for his roots and perpetually prepared to do anything for the young lady he adores. Interestingly, it is not simply the stress and dialog conveyance that makes his character authentic: Even his non-verbal communication and disposition matches.
The other on-screen character who makes a fantastic showing is Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub (he played Dhanush's companion in Raanjhana). He is one of the parts of the group in which Dolly (Sonam) works. Ayyub's character, Raju, is enamored with Dolly yet he knows it will go no place in light of the fact that Dolly just has faith in "faking" the marriage. In the set up family that the pack structures to trick families into weddings, Raju is Dolly's sibling! Manoj Joshi as the father, as well, is noteworthy.
So should you watch Dolly Ki Doli? Go for it, for the entertaining performances. Despite the shoddy script and loose strings, this is worth a watch.
