The State Student Admission Commission (SSAC) has publicized the results of the student admission to the higher schools.
The selection of specialties ended at 00.00 on August 2. Spokesman for SSAC Elnur Nagizade said that 32 561 entrants chose specialties.
28 312 of the entrants are from Azerbaijani sector, 4249 from the Russian sector. 9517 entrants chose specialties of the first group, 9453 of the second group, 9364 of the third group and 4227 of the fourth group.
34171 entrants had been admitted to the competition. 9818 of them had passed the first specialty group exam, 9645 the second, 9720 the third, 4988 the fourth specialty group exam and gained right to participate in the competition.
