Founding Performance Marketing Manager - Digital Acquisition, SEO & Paid Social - Fast growing DTC skincare brand

Authentic Ego is a next-generation skincare company redefining how we support adult and hormonal acne-prone skin. Founded by two women with deep experience in brand, marketing, and formulation science, we are science-first and mission-led—combining real acne research, R&D-led formulations, and a cultural shift in how skincare is marketed, consumed, and trusted.

Since launching in late 2023, we’ve experienced exponential growth, gained early traction from the creator and scientific communities, and are now preparing for Series A fundraising.

We’re building a category-defining brand and we’re seeking a Founding Performance Marketing Manager to help us launch and scale paid ads, optimize our digital acquisition, and optimize our SEO for search and AI.

This is a hands-on, execution-driven opportunity for someone with experience launching and managing digital acquisition campaigns across channels. You’ll work with our Founders in developing and managing our digital acquisition funnel, Google/Meta Ads, SEO strategy, & Analytics & Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Launch and scale paid Meta campaigns - set up custom audiences, lookalikes and conversion tracking; use data to inform testing cycles in collaboration with our creative team.
  • Google Ads management - own campaign buildout, keyword targeting, a/b testing, and bid strategy; optimize for ROAS, CPA and conversion volume.
  • SEO strategy and execution - perform technical on page audits, on-page optimization and keyword research; track and report on traffic growth, rankings and issues via Search Console.
  • Analytics, tagging & reporting - Manage GA4, Meta & Tiktok pixels and Google As conversion tracking; build dashboards use Looker or similar; track and analyze CAC, LTV, and funnel conversion rates.
  • CRO & funnel optimization - run landing page tests, heatmap analysis; suggest site and product page changes to boost conversion based on user behavior.

Skills & Background:

  • 2+ years hands-on Google Ads & Meta Ads experience.
  • Knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.
  • Familiar with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms.
  • Highly analytical and can utilize Excel/Google Sheets pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, performance models etc with ease.
  • Familiar with SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Solid understanding of ad reporting & attribution: eg. Looker Studio, Triple Whale, Northbeam, etc.
  • Deep knowledge and love of skincare, cosmetics and women’s health.

Other Position Details:

  • Monthly salary + equity ownership of the company. While our salary is currently small, we are offering part ownership in our company as a pre-series A startup.
  • Part-time to start; time commitment is flexible and can scale with growth.
  • Annual salary and full-time employment with benefits to follow upon Series A fundraising
  • Work around your existing schedule- since this is a part-time position we fully recognize the need for flexibility based on your other commitments.
  • We are a small, close-knit and collaborative team. You can expect full support from our Founders and a responsive & caring work culture.

Pay: $400.00 - $600.00 per month to start based on hours and can scale with growth.


Expected hours: 6-8 hours per week to start.

We work in EST so you should be available for occasional team meetings or virtual chats during EST hours and ending at 930pm EST.
