In India at work place many employees wear religious dress during the period of their worship.
For instance particularly in South India devotees who visit Sabrimalai in Kerala during the months of September to January wear black dress without footwear. They wear this dress at work also.
Some organizations are against this special attire at work place where clients visit on a regular basis. Right to practice ones religion is one of the fundamental rights granted by our constitution.
But to what extent is it justified in wearing a religious dress at work place ?
I am strongly against this practice. Because I think that at work place one has to respect the code of conduct which says to come to work in formals or in the prescribed uniform.
However many people are against this view and consider that there is no harm if an employee comes to work in his religious dress and bare foot.
