Heloo Friends,

As CSR is just in names for companies,
No compnay is following CSR in INdia, CSR is just to make profit for COmpany,
SO should CSR be taught to MBA.

i think csr has become an integral part of any organisation so i guess it shud be included in curriculum

CSR is not followed in India bt as it is an important aspect of management studies throughout the world it should be taught in India to make us aware of the management trends followed in different parts of the world:SugarwareZ-238:

Why do guys expect a B-school to teach CSR?Do you want some school to teach a corporate a social responsibilty? Why not a corporate teach the world tht they can take care of the society.Take for eg.ITC intiatives of e-choupal,HLL's Shakti. It is not being taught in any B-school.Even take the case of Gates-Melinda foundation. No law is forcing those ppl to give it back to the society from where they got the business.

I believe CSR is not just an order winning factor for any company but now has become a requirement.. CSR if executed strategically benefits everyone please read the Nestle (Moga Punjab dairy case study) which was so bloody impressive that it was taught in our class here in London under the strategic csr topic. Hence would say if you do follow CSR because the stakeholders want you to then you eventually loose.. However if executed keeping in view company goals and strategies leading to development of both business and mankind leads to a success story.
