Rape - "The ultimate violation of self?"

Let's not start with the presumption that rape is about sex. The natural act in the instance of rape is is nothing more than a device.
Rape is about domination and force, using sex as an implement to gain superiority.
Sexual intercourse is a natural act when carried out in a loving mutually consenting and respectful way.
When it is used as an instrument to force ones way on to another then it would be just as grievous a violation as forcing any one of a variety of unnatural acts on a person.

Rape and stabbing are both unnatural acts. Severity is always dependent on the circumstances. In any crime scene all the various broken laws are separated out. It is possible to be charged with both rape and assault.

Women are raped, they are subjected to degredation, and such actions are abhorent and need to be punished to the fullest extent of the law, but one thing people should never forget aswell, is that this society is rife with double standards, and in a situation where it is 'he said, she said', neither side should hold the high ground.
