RadioShack files for Bankruptcy

RadioShack got to be an alternate block and-mortar setback of web shopping when it petitioned for liquidation on Thursday, declaring the offer of 50% of its stores in an arrangement that may end with Sprint opening smaller than expected shops in up to 1,750 of the sold properties.
RadioShack has 4,291 stores in the U.S., alongside 274 in Mexico and 1,000 merchant establishment stores in 25 nations – land costs that have been troublesome for the retailer to keep up while deals have dropped because of adversary internet shopping locales as of late. The retailer established in 1921 declared a Chapter 11 insolvency arrangement to offer 1,500 to 2,400 of its stores in the U.S. to its biggest shareholder Standard General, with arrangements to close whatever remains of its shops crosswise over America.
The electronics retailer based in Fort Worth, Texas, is also discussing the sale of its overseas stores, the company said in a press release.
