!! Quantitative Method Problem Solving

I am getting lots of difficulties to solve this problems of Quantitative Methods.

Problem no.1)-

a sample of 900 days is taken from metrological records of certain district and 100 of them are found to be foggy. what are the probable limits to the percentage of foggy days in the district?


Problem no.2)-
weight of 10 student is as follows-
SN:- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
weight in kgm:- 39 40 45 53 47 53 55 48 52 49
Can we say that the variance of the distribution of weights of all students from which the above sample of 10 students was drawn is equal to 20 square kgm? test this at 5% and 1% level of significance.


Problem no.3)-

the table given below shows the data obtained during outbreak of small pox

Attacked No Attacked Total
Vaccinated 31 469 500
No Vaccinated 185 1315 1500
Total 216 1784 2000

Test the effectiveness of vaccination in preventing the attack from the smallpox. test your
result with the help of X2 at 5% level of significance.
