Course Description

This course provides a thoughtful, practical guide to the process of successfully
launching and growing an entrepreneurial firm. To do this, the module provides students
with a thorough analysis of the entrepreneurial process.

Learning Objectives

This course is intended to achieve the following objectives:
1. To provide a solid coverage of the essentials of entrepreneurship.
2. Introducing a model of the entrepreneurial process, and follows the model throughout
the module.
3. Providing the students with practical framework to translate ideas into viable business
4. Help the students understand the external environment surrounding entrepreneurial
firms, the environment effect and how to cope with the major trends within it.
5. Provide the students with the required knowledge to develop a feasibility study,
business plans and business models.
6. Help the students analyze the key performance indicators of entrepreneurial success
form financial perspective.

Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs):
Successful completion of the course should lead to the following outcomes:

A. Knowledge and Understanding: Student is expected to
A1) be able to demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the nature of today’s
dynamic, uncertain, and often diverse work environment affecting entrepreneurial firms.
A2) be able to reflect a basic understanding of the concept of business opportunity and its
major characteristics
A3) be able to use idea generating tools effectively
A4) be able to demonstrate an understanding of the following concepts

C4) Use the financial indicators effectively to make business decision for new ventures

to the module representative meeting. Thereafter, problems are dealt with by the
Department Chair and if still unresolved the Dean and then ultimately the Vice
President. For final complaints, there will be a committee to review grading the final
exam.
