About Back on My Feet Back on My Feet is a national nonprofit organization that uses running to help those experiencing homelessness change the way they see themselves so they can make real change in their lives that results in employment and independent living. The organization creates a community built on the very profound and innate desire for all of us to feel recognized, appreciated and supported. Back on my Feet does not provide food nor shelter, but instead provides coaching, resources, financial aid, job training and access to employment opportunities. About the Position The Back on My Feet Graphics and Brand Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Communications and Corporate Relations in the organization’s Center City Philadelphia Shared Services/headquarters office. This position leads all graphic design and branding for the national organization including its Shared Services office and 10+ chapters nationwide. This position encompasses four major areas: 1. Branding Work with the VP of Communications and Corporate Relations to formulate, define, communicate and evolve the Back on My Feet brand. Act as the organization’s brand leader. Create and review documents, collateral, apparel and other materials to regulate and ensure brand integrity. Manage and update the organization’s brand standards document. 2. Graphic Design Create graphic documents and standards to support the Communications & Corporate Relations Team, new chapter launches, events and more. Materials and design projects include sponsorship packages, proposals, PowerPoint presentations, logos, one-pagers, signage, ads, program booklets, info-graphics, Impact Reports, Organizational Overviews, graphics for the website and more. 3. Managing Deadlines & Workflow Work with the VP of Communications and Corporate Relations to create and then autonomously manage a master graphics project calendar and workflow log. Ability to deliver on every deadline will be crucial to success in this role. 4. Managing Graphics Resources Develop and maintain PowerPoint, Word Document, InDesign and other templates, as well as a Photo Library, on the organization’s Shared Server. Recruit, onboard and manage at least one graphic design intern year-round. Additional responsibilities include: - Managing project timelines and deadlines for all work supporting the Back on My Feet Shared Services team as well as each of 10 Back on My Feet chapters. - Deliver high-quality materials that impress internal and external stakeholders. - Build positive relationships with Back on My Feet local chapter Directors of Communications and Corporate relations and support their work in a timely and professional way. backonmyfeet.org

Manage relationships with printers and review and approve printer proofs. Work with Marketing and Communications Manager to create and maintain collateral materials in the Back on My Feet internal online store (business cards, stationery, etc.).
Qualifications & Experience This position requires: - Design degree with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience. - Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. - Nonprofit experience a plus. - Demonstrated, exemplary project management skills. - Ability to lead national brand growth for a unique and aggressive nonprofit. - Technical skills including mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (with emphasis on InDesign), PowerPoint; web design a plus Personal Characteristics This position requires: - High energy - Integrity - Interest in a non-traditional work environment that exceeds standard “nine to five” hours and offers benefits including unlimited vacation and a casual office setting - Demonstrated brand managing for a growing business or organization - Willingness to work some nights and weekends - Solutions-oriented problem solving - Results-oriented project leader who can effectively manage a high-volume workload - Requires little supervision and minimal revisions on work product - Proactive in raising suggestions for new concepts, or improvement for programs and processes - Dynamic personality to convey mission of the organization via various media mediums - Unequivocal passion for the organization and the Members we serve - Desire to attend program events as possible to connect with Members and mission - Ability to manage time responsibly - Team oriented and able to build consensus efficiently - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, changing environment - Entrepreneurial, resourceful, energetic and a self-starter - Willing and able to roll-up his/her sleeves, yet not get lost in the details To Apply Please email the following to [email protected]: - Resume - Salary requirements - Link to online portfolio if available - At least five professional design work samples in PDF format that include at least two of the following (or similar): backonmyfeet.org
